We are looking for an experienced OB Surgical Scrub Tech to add to our team.


    We are looking for an experienced Certified OB Surgical Tech to add to our Labor and Delivery team. Responsible for aseptic technique in preparation of supplies and equipment. Expertise in safety principles, sterile technique and universal precautions. Applies and shares knowledge with others. Candidates must posses the ability to prioritize and have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in stressful situations. In addition, the Scrub Tech will provide a patient care environment that promotes and supports the Hospitals' CHOICE values


    Essential Responsibilities: OB TECH

    1. Assists with providing fo the physical comfort and safety of laboring pateints. 
    2. Functions as scrub tech/scrub assistant during cesarean section, tubal ligation, D&C, and emergency C-hysterectomy. Anticipates the needs of physician/surgeon. Ensure surgical asepsis duing OB OR cases. Maintains correct sponge and instrument count during OB OR procedures. Ensures that c/section and other delivery instruments are properly cared for before, during and after surgical procedure and that OR is cleaned after case. Ensures that delivery tables are set up using aseptic technique.
    3. Answers patient call lights and handles pateint requests promptly and courteously.Communicates with patients and visitors appropriately using good guest relations skills. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to assist with the provision of care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patients served (neonatal, pediatric, adult)
    4.  Demonstrates competency in computer order entry.
    5. Assists with the admission, discharge, and transfer of patients
    6. Ensure sharps are disposed of properly
    7. Plans, organizes and completes assignments within a reasonable time period.
    8. Performs other job related dutes as assigned by the supervisor.



    • High School Graduate or equivalent
    • Minimum one - two years  Obstetrical surgical experience
    • Good interpersonal, teamwork and PC skills.
    • Current BLS certification
    • Graduate of an accredited training program
    • Certified Surgical Technologist status required
    • Must be willing to take Call
