  • Overview

    The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing skills in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care for assigned patients. Demonstrates the ability to perform a concise nursing assessment and reassesses and documents the proposed revision of interventions and desired outcomes. Responsible to document all nursing care in all assigned patient records. Demonstrates ability to assess patient' s and/or significant other understanding of and compliance with instructions and health care teaching. Maintains patient's privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times. Notifies appropriate nursing and medical staff to changes in the patient status. Provides direct care to assigned patients. The shift for this position is 1:30pm - 10pm, Monday through Friday.

     Completes position responsibilities by following established guidelines and protocols within the appropriate time frame.

     Performs specific job functions at an acceptable level.     


    • Safe Medication Administration
    • Ensures adequate preparation invasive of the nursing process and procedures
    • One (1) year experience in Intensive Care Unit is preferred.
    • Current licensure in the State of Texas
