    Currently seeking an energetic and professional Registered Nurse (RN) with 2 years minumum experience working in the Labor & Delivery department to work in our elite medical facility in Flower Mound, TX.


    The registered nurse is responsible for assessing, evaluating, implementing and planning patient centered care for all assigned patients on the unit during his/her shift, according to the standards of care at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Flower Mound. Responsible for gathering and documenting complete data on each new admission to the unit. Responsible for compiling and maintaining accurate documentation in the plan of care on each patient including, but not limited to supplies and procedures, admission screen, patient and family teaching and counseling, and clinical path. Actively participates in continuous quality improvement. Manages all assigned personnel, supplies and equipment and promotes and participates in teamwork with physicians and personnel of this and other departments. Follows all departmental safety policies and procedures regarding patient care and one"s personal protection and patient safety. Develops self professionally and participates in hospital and departmental activities. Prepares operative sight for the surgical procedure. Provides complete and accurate nursing records on charts and log books. Provides accurate patient charges. Updates patient care in response to monitored events. Assists the anesthesia care provider during induction, intubation, and emergence from anesthesia. Positions patient to optimize the surgical procedures and maintain patient safety. Directs the plan of care in the operating room. Performs accurate sponge, sharps, and instrument counts. Sets up, tests, and connects all specialty equipment. Constantly monitors the environment to assure patient, visitor, and staff safety. Facilitates and encourages the bonding experience during the recovery period.


    -Current Texas RN or compact state licensure  
    -Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Fetal Monitor certifications required.
    -Minimum 2 years labor & delivery nursing experience.
    -Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
    -Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.
    - Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
