    Responsibilities

    Performs as a unit receptionist by greeting visitors, answering telephones, and directing traffic.  Transcribes, communicates and coordinates physician orders, protects confidentiality of patient information, priorities own workload.  Assists Director and Shift Manager in maintaining supplies and equipment in nursing unit, performs non-clinical nursing tasks, completes audits and manages logbooks.  Responsible for input of all information into CPSI system.  Communicates admissions, discharges, transfers, expirations to the appropriate departments.  Enter procedure charges in computer information system in those areas responsible for charge posting.  Notifies appropriate departments of patient disposition through computer communications or phone.

    Qualifications

    Requires knowledge of Federal and State regulatory agency standards related to health care organizations. Cognitive and technical knowledge and ability to progressively manage care delivery across the continuum of care. The ability to retrieve, communicate and present data and information both verbally and in writing required; as is the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken and written work. Must be flexible with work scheduling. Involves discretion and independent action within prescribed limits.
