Responsibilities

The Patient Registrar will ensure the quality of patient registrations to the hospital by obtaining thorough and accurate information in a timely and efficient manner.  Must interact with ancillary departments and staff to ensure quality care for all patients.  The Patient Registrar also serves as a patient resource in matters concerning financial/payment arrangements and will discuss financial matters for up-front collections or payment arrangements if necessary.

Candidates must posses the ability to prioritize and have excellent customer service and organizational skills with attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in stressful situations.

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good interpersonal, teamwork and PC skills.
  • 1-2 years-clerical experience; Prefer 1-2 years of prior healthcare admitting/registration experience.
  • Important Notes
    PRN position (flexible schedules, 5 hours per shift, will involve nights and weekends)
